The Stranglers were the opening act for The Ramones first tour of England. With that said, The Stanglers guiding force (if you will) was Brian "Jet Black" Duffy; albeit any true "Stanglers" fan would bestow the "lead" mantle upon Hugh Cornwell; who was not an original member; oddly enough. In sum, whatever will be said (and has not been said) about The Stranglers, is a collective mystery to anyone who prides his or her self as to why truly great songwriting, recording production and overall camaraderie in a rock band, once in a while, "falls throught the cracks;' except for those with ears.
