Info about song
"(Theme from) The Monkees" is a 1966 popular song, written by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart with creative direction from Neil Diamond as the theme song for the TV series The Monkees and recorded by The Monkees. It later appeared on their album The Monkees. Like most early Monkees songs, Micky Dolenz is the only member of the group to appear on the song, although many later songs would feature all four members. Originally intended as an album track, it was later released as a single in Australia, where it became a hit. It is still played on many oldies radio stations. Read more on Last.fm.
