The legend is that Silvio took a sailing trip through the Caribbean on a boat that was named "El Playa Giron". He would write a song every day and this one summarizes his experiences there. The facts are the following: he dedicated this song to the fisherman of a boat that was indeed named Playa Giron, after a famous beach in Cuba, when he worked with them from 1969 to 1970. This song was later included in the album "Dias y Flores" which came out in 1975.
