State of Independence chords by Jon & Vangelis

From the album The Friends of Mr Cairo. Covered by Donna Summer and released as a single by her in 1982. It got to #2 in the British charts Jon & Vangelis released "State of Independence" as a single in 1981, with "Beside" as the B-Side. It was re-released in 1984 and this version peaked at 67 in the UK Singles Chart. Jon Anderson recorded a new version of the song for his solo album Change We Must (1994) and a live acoustic version can be found on his Live from La La Land (2007). Jon Anderson also released a live version with Yes bandmate Rick Wakeman as Anderson/Wakeman. Read more on Last.fm.
