The Legacy of Scott 'Wino' Weinrich (Saint Vitus, The Obsessed) in the world of heavy music is indisputable. In 2010, he turned to his acoustic guitar as a means to drive out some personal demons, resulting in Adrift and a tour to support it. Unusually, this would just be Wino, an acoustic guitar and a driver in a small passenger car, so the task of finding someone suitably laid back and able to live in such intimate and cramped conditions for six weeks fell to Andreas of Exile On Mainstream/Southern Germany. Andreas chose Conny Ochs, who he'd known for some time from his Baltic Coast beach parties. Conny could serve as driver and also fill the boots of support act. What followed was one part genius planning and three parts alchemy - from the start there seemed to be an extraordinary vibe between Wino and Conny. Through music they discovered a similar outlook on life and art. By the end of the tour what had been two separate sets became more of a blur, as Wino sat in on Conny's songs and Conny joined in on Wino's. It was just the beginning of a relationship cemented by a shared vision and labour of love. They released their debut album 'Heavy Kingdom' on January 14, 2012. Read more on Last.fm.
