After the breakup of Red 40, bassist-vocalist Ben Nichols moved to Memphis, where he started a short-lived band called Lucky Old Sun which only ever recorded a demo and then founded Lucero. Colin Brooks lives in Brooklyn, NY and plays drum for Dan Zanes and Friends. Steve Kooms still lives in Little Rock and plays with various bands around town. A CD collecting the band's recorded work was released in 1999, and reissued in 2005.
