Mr. McFeely was an Alterna-Ska/Rock band at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. They formed in 1996, and disbanded in 2001 (though some members claim that the band is simply on "Indefinite Hiatus.") They released three albums; We Have The Bomb, Sizzling Happy Family, and the hard-to-find demo For Your Pleasure.
While managing to keep the rock-style core of their band the same throughout their existence, their horn section varied greatly over the years. At their smallest, they had 4 members total, and at their largest, 9. At one point, they considered having membership cards made to keep track of how many people had passed through the band's ranks.
They are known for writing songs about pop culture figures (Optimus Prime, David Hasselhoff), and often have unusually dark lyrics set to upbeat music (The One That Killed Us All.)
Many of the members have branched out into new bands which sometimes collaborate together. Among those are Gage Choat and the 4-Track Orchestra, The Formals (formerly Kelsa) and Ninja Technologies.
