In 1996, Dawn made her recording debut, singing background vocals with Jann Arden on "The Other Side", for Anne Murray's self-titled CD. She followed this up in 1999 with the duet "Let There Be Love", also recorded with Anne Murray. The song, released as a single and a video, was included on the platinum-selling album, "What A Wonderful World".
Focusing on songwriting for the past five years, Dawn has composed an impressive catalogue of songs with such writing partners as Matthew Gerrard and Christopher Ward. Other songwriters who have teamed up with Dawn include Anthony Vanderburgh, Craig Northey, Chin Injeti, Geoff Gibbons, David Reimer, Troy Samson and Mike James.
She has performed in Victoria and Vancouver, garnering a loyal following in both cities and upon her return to Toronto can now be found performing at various venues throughout the city.
