2. April Shower (1969-1973) was a country pop duo from The Netherlands, consisting of singer Heddy Affolter and guitarist Gert Balke. Their 1971 single, 'Railroad Song', was a modest chart success. April Shower toured the U.S., Canada and Mexico in 1972 and recorded a cover version of The Carpenters' 'Danny's Song' in 1973, just before the dup split up. Heddy Affolter went solo as Heddy Lester.
