1) Liverpool Echo were a Merseybeat / early power pop group from Liverpool formed in 1973 by Martin Briley and Brian Engel of Mandrake Paddle Steamer. The band released a self-titled album heavily influenced by the early Beatles sound on the Spark label in the same year. With a misleading cover and non-existent promotion by their label, the album went nowhere and the duo moved on to other projects soon after its release. It has since been reissued twice, first by Rev-Ola on CD in 2005 and later on vinyl by Sing Sing in 2013, and warmly received by fans of the genre.
2) The Liverpool Echo is a newspaper published by Trinity Mirror North West & North Wales - a subsidiary company of Reach plc and is based in Old Hall Street, Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is published Monday to Sunday, and is Liverpool's daily newspaper. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
