Jesus and the Gospelfuckers probably were Holland's most notorious punkband. Hailing from Haarlem, the Netherlands they moved to Amsterdam, got equipment and started playing in 1979. First off, it was more typical punkrock, but when Discharge came around, their influence was noticable. Most of their concerts ended in violence, but were a great experience. Their demotape is one of the best things that came from Holland in that period and still stand the test of time. The demo got re-issued by Kangaroo records, run by Henk Smit, a long time friend of the band. Later on the band evolved into Genocide Express, which can be found on the 'Cleanse the bacteria' compilation lp. After that, members went on in Agent Orange (NL), another brilliant band from Holland. They share the split lp with the Gospelfuckers. Only member still active in music is Tos, he does play with Sunn 0))) every now and then. This page is not run by any of the members.
