Fuzzy were a Boston-based pop/rock band in the vein of Veruca Salt, The Breeders and Belly fronted by two women, Chris Toppin and Hilken Mancini, who met in 1993 while both working at Tower Records. After recruiting bassist Winston Braman (Come) and drummer David Ryan (Lemonheads), the four-piece released their eponymous debut, Fuzzy, in 1994 which attracted attention thanks to its catchy lead single Flashlight. In 1996 they released the follow-up Electric Juices but despite positive reviews were dropped by their record label the following year. David Ryan was replaced by Nate Darden in 1997 and in 1999 they released their final album, Hurray For Everything. After splitting, guitarist/singer Hilken Mancini released an album with bassist/vocalist Chris Colbourn of Buffalo Tom in 2005 called simply Hilken Mancini And Chris Colbourn which featured contributions from the likes of J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, Winston Braman from Consonant and drummer Mike Savage from The Count Me Outs.
