The daughter of Bobby Clancy, an original member of The Clancy Brothers, she began guitar at age ten and by age fourteen was playing with her father in their local pubs.
In 1995 she was asked to join Cherish the Ladies, a much admired Irish American group. She toured extensively doing no less than two hundred dates a year throughout the United States and Europe. She has been a featured soloist with orchestras such as the Boston Pops and Cincinnati Pops.
In the early 2000s, she was a member of Faire Winds (with Bill Jones and Anne Hills), with a live album released in September 2003 recorded during their first USA tour.
