"A Thousand Miles" is the first single from the album "Be not Nobody". Some older live recordings, and a tape demo recording are named as "Interlude" with slightly different lyrics. The song features prominently in the 2004 movie White Chicks, starring Shawn and Marlon Wayans as FBI agents who go undercover as white girls. Speaking with Songfacts about its use in the film in a 2011 interview, Carlton said: "I thought it was hilarious. Those guys are really nice, too.
