Phoenix chords by Dan Fogelberg

"Phoenix" is the title cut from Fogelberg's 1979 Double Platinum album, which preceded the Double album "Innocent Age." Both efforts received rave reviews and deepened Fogelberg's musical mark. Dan himself plays acoustic and electric guitars, a Prophet 5 synthesizer, and, as usual, Dan supplies all background vocals. The record was recorded under the Epic label, the label he shared with Billy Joel at the time, among others. "Phoenix" was often the song Dan used to kick off his concerts, and it followed a beautiful musical interlude, a companion song entitled "Tullamore Dew," providing a sharp contrast and a nice dynamic that started the evening in high gear.
